Romeo Garcia: Committed to Student Success
If you are the first person in your family to attend college or if you come from a low-income household and you are concerned about entering college you need to speak with Romeo Garcia. Garcia is the project director for Cañada's TRIO and Student Support Services effort and he's specially trained to help first-generation, low-income or disabled students navigate their way through the higher education system.
"I can help students with financial aid, admissions, Disabled Student Program and Services, and Extended Opportunity Programs & Services," Romeo said. "I want to help students get the support they need to succeed. College can be intimidating but I can help connect students to the resources they need and create opportunities with student activities."
Romeo's office is located on the second floor of the new Library and Student Resource Center in the Learning Center. He can be reached at (650) 306-3345.
