This event will give us the opportunity to honor all of the students in the First-Year experience Program. Lunch will be provided! San Francisco State University Field Trip Wednesday, May 7th Here’s your chance to explore a four-year university!, Tour the campus, attend an orientation, and learn about majors and student services offered at SFSU. All of this is free to FYE students. Transportation will be provided. A Major Affair Wednesday, April 30th “A Major Affair” will provide students with an opportunity to learn about various majors and related careers. The event is similar to a career fair. Each representative (instructor/program supervisor) will have their own table and students will ask questions and gather information as they walk from table to table. Don’t miss this event! The Second Annual FYE College BowlCollege Bowl gives FYE students from the different classes in the program an opportunity to build community, review what they have learned in the first half of the semester, and share knowledge about college life, degree patterns, and facts and concepts from their English, reading, math and ESL courses. In a game show-like setting, teams of students use state-of-the-art classroom technology to answer questions and win prizes. This year's will be our Second Annual College Bowl, and the success of last year's event allows us to predict that a splendid time is guaranteed for all. All current FYE students are invited to participate in the event on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Bldg. 3 – Rm. 142.
