Cañada Graduate Heads to France to Study Cinematography

Lindsey Renee Warner will study at the prestigious EICAR International Film School in Paris.

Lindsey Renee Warner, a Cañada College graduate in English, will travel to Paris this summer to begin studying cinematography at EICAR, the International Film School of Paris.

“I’m very excited because I’ve always loved film,” said Lindsey, who speaks French and has relatives in France. She said her desire to pursue a career in film has always been there but it was heightened by Cañada Professor David Clay, who introduced her to film noir.

“I absolutely loved his class,” she said. “He was a huge inspiration and his class helped me realize I had to pursue this passion.”

The EICAR campus is located a short distance from Montmartre and 80 percent of the country’s TV productions are located on site. The campus is home to many national and international companies  - producers, manufacturers of audiovisual equipment, and software developers.

“I’m starting in a fast-track program and plan to study at EICAR for at least a year,” she said. “When I’m finished I’ll apply to other international schools or continue my studies at EICAR. My goal is to study cinematography and explore Europe at the same time.”
