Economics

Initially, economics for me was almost anafterthought. Iwanted to attend UC Berkeley and I knew I was interested in how businesses worked. However, I found a business focus too narrow. At the same time, while I liked the social sciences, I felt they were “all over the map.” Economics seemed to me the best of both worlds: it offered me the opportunity to study business but with an emphasis on trying to explain what makes people and firms tick.
