Psychology

SondraSaterfieldCanada College has been my home for more than 22 years, where I am a professor of Psychology for the Humanities and Social Science Division. I earned a MS Degree in Psychology from California State University Hayward before its name changed to California State University East Bay and a BS inSpecial Education from Cheyney State University in Pennsylvania. I have taught a board range of Psychology courses at Canada College, including General Psychology, Human Development, Social Psychology, and Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination. In addition, I have utilized my clinical counseling skills to assist students in academic, vocational, and personal development.

My professional interests include the psychology of organizational behavior, perspectives on human development over the life span, and critical issues surround the psychology of diversity and social interactions. I have traveled extensively to many countries of South East Asia, throughout Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe.

When not busy with professional and civic activities, I am off to explore a new country or Soul line dancing at Stanford University.
